ShifáhPerformer, teacher, choreographer and producer has been a  professional dancer and member of The Crescent Dancers since 1985.  Troupe and solo appearances include: Jacob’s Pillow, The Springfield Republican;s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun at the Log Cabin, The Springfield Museum of Fine Arts; the Hartford Opera Company's production of Aida; The Iron Horse coffee house in Northampton; and The Follies, Coconut Creek Florida.


Shifah has taught extensively throughout the Pioneer Valley since 1987. Her students include women of all ages, from granddaughters and grandmothers to women who have gone on to professional dance careers.  She has taught and presented classes and workshops at Greenfield Community College, Marlboro College in Vermont, the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter High School, and several local studios.   Shifáh has studied with both nationally and internationally known choreographers.  She has produced and directed numerous shows and choreographed for The Valley Light Opera in 1996 and 1997 and is one of the founding members of the Middle Eastern Arts Collaborative, producing two student shows per year and professional Belly Dance shows at the Clarion Hotel in Northampton, MA. She is presently choreographer for The Follies belly dance troupe in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Jo Tebaldi is a graduate of Vesper George School of Art in Boston, MA where she majored in commercial art. She studied with Henry Hensche, Cape Cod School of Art , Cape Cod, MA where she learned to really SEE color; studied with Brock from the NY Art Students League; and took several courses in drawing, stained glass and batik in NY and MA.

Jo was a lecturer in Fine arts at Elms College, Chicopee, MA, teaching color and design as it pertains to commercial packaging design; instructor of undergraduate graphic design and textile design courses, featuring batik at U-Mass Amherst; instructor at a graphic design seminar at American International College. She was a graphic artist for several advertising agencies and co-owner of Mass Media, Amherst, MA developing promotional materials for companies. Jo was a docent for 4 years at Springfield’s Museum of Fine Arts; past co-chair for Valley Women Artists and member for 7 years. And for a very gratifying project, she was assistant site coordinator for the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards in 1987.


Among her many exhibits were: a one person show at Elms College, Chicopee, MA; Artworks, New Bedford, MA, a two person show with stained glass sculpture; Rinebeck Manor House, NY; Wilbraham Academy, Monson, MA;  Main Artery, Northampton, MA; Leverett Artists and Craftsmen, Leverett, MA; Zone Gallery, Springfield Art League, Spfd. MA; Woodstock Artist Association, Woodstock, NY
